Objectives: Xom Nac (Nac Village) is at present having 214 ha of naturally grown forest and 822 ha of forestland. All of this has been contracted out to households but these people do not have sufficient capacity to manage them. There is a need to establish household groups to manage and develop forests. The project aims:
  1. To establish a community-based forest management system at the target locality.
  2. To create regular and stable income sources from annual and perenial crop production and ensure food security for the villagers
  3. To increase the forest coverage and quality through assisting forest regeneration, forest plantation, enrichment and plantation of non-timber species under forest canopy.
