Objectives: There are 6460 ha natural land including 1650 ha of of upstream protection forest and forestland, 3350 ha of and bare land and deforested hills. Bare land area has been allocated to local people to facilitate re-growth. The forest is managed by the community, group of households and households. The project aims:
  1. To develop a community-based forest management at the project site
  2. To increase income for villagers through supporting sustainable cultivation on sloping land and non-timber production to reduce livelihood pressure on the forest
  3. To enhance the capacity of community based organizations on CFM and grass root level project management
